The Honourable Daryl Vaz
Minister of Science, Energy and Technology
The Honourable Daryl Vaz, MP was sworn in as Minister of Science, Energy and Technology on September 13, 2020.
The major priorities of this Administration for the Ministry are the creation of an enabling environment to facilitate access to alternative sources of energy, greater incorporation of science and innovation as well as ensuring universal access to broadband and wireless services as a right for all Jamaicans, with a specific focus on rural Jamaica.
Prior to his appointment to the Ministry, Minister Vaz was the Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation with responsibility for the Land, Environment, Climate Change & Investment portfolios. Minister Vaz was then assigned the Water and Housing portfolios and subject matters having to do with certain special economic development projects.
Minister Vaz has served Jamaica in several capacities. He is a former Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Information and Telecommunications. He also served as a former Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Project Implementation and Service Delivery.
He is married to Ann-Marie Theresa Vaz, JP, Member of Parliament for Eastern Portland. They have five children.
AILEEN CORRIGAN

Aileen Corrigan is a Digital Transformation Director working currently with Digicel Group where she served in various senior roles over the past 15 years. She also served as CEO for Trend Media Group, the leading digital media house in the Caribbean.
Aileen has more than 25 years of international experience in the telecommunications and digital sectors, specializing in digital media and publishing, executive management, marketing and business development. Aileen studied Industrial Relations at McGill
University. She also holds a Masters in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute and an eMBA from Wharton University.
Aileen lives in Kingston, Jamaica with her husband and two children.
Eric Konovalov
After spending years building up a sales team for Xeorx, Eric joined DCA Imaging Systems, a technology firm, based near Washington, DC, as their Director of Sales. In three short years, Eric helped grow the company from $4 million to $12 million in annual revenue.
He then went on to start The Goal Guide, Inc., a training, coaching, and consulting company focusing on sales, communications, and mindset for success. Eric is the author of B2B Sales Secrets, the host of Lead Sell Grow – The Human Experience Podcast, and the leader of Relentless Goal Achievers. A coaching group that focuses on helping people get to their next level.
Eric resides in Sarasota, Florida, with his wife Julia and their two incredible boys, Max and Mikey.
Rishi Maharaj
Managing Director and Principal Consultant, CIPM
Rishi is the holder of a BSc. and MSc. in Government from the University of the West Indies and is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). He is the founder and managing director of Privacy Advisory Services a boutique digital compliance consultancy that specializes in supporting organizations as they navigate data expansion and digital transformation.
With over 15 years of experience within both the public and privacy sphere he has considerable
knowledge and experience of the workings of government both from an operational and policy
aspect as well as a unique insight into the challenges faced by organizations trying to engage in
digital transformational change.
He was the project lead on the final drafting, passage and partial proclamation of the Data
Protection Act of Trinidad and Tobago in 2011 and participated in the drafting of model legislation
on Data Protection through the International Telecommunications Union HIPCAR Project.
Within the private sphere he guides organization in the development and implementation of data
protection compliance programmes that are in line with the General Data Protection Regulations
(GDPR) as well as recent data protection legislations in the region (Jamaica, Barbados, Cayman
Islands, Bermuda, Bahamas etc).
Rishi is a member of the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
DIANE EDWARDS
Director, MSBM Consulting Mona School of Business & Management
Diane M. Edwards, MBA leads MSBM Consulting, the consulting arm of the Mona School of
Business & Management (MSBM). Her focus will be to grow the consultancy into an
internationally recognised partner for business in management consulting and executive
education.
Ms. Edwards joins MSBM from a 9-year career as President of JAMPRO, Jamaica’s investment
and export promotion agency, where she and her team led the expansion of the BPO sector,
attracted investment in 12,000 new hotel rooms and were instrumental in driving the
government’s Business Environment Reform Agenda.
In 2021 she won a Gold award as “Business Development Executive of the Year” and Silver in
the “Woman of the Year in Sales” category in the Stevie International Business Awards.
From 2003 to 2013, Ms. Edwards led the expansion of J. Wray & Nephew UK Ltd. as General
Manager and Director, achieving profitability and building the company’s turnover by 77% over
10 years.
Ms. Edwards holds an MBA from New York’s Pace University, a Masters in International
Relations from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a BA (Hons) in French, Spanish and
German from the University of the West Indies (UWI).
Brian Sanya Mondoh
Dual-Qualified Barrister & Attorney at Law
Brian is a Dual Qualified Advocate, Barrister of England and Wales (N.P) and Attorney-at-Law at the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago (L.E.C). He regularly advises and speaks internationally on anti-money laundering and wash trading, crypto asset recovery, and financial and regulatory compliance of crypto asset businesses in jurisdictions monitored by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Brian is currently undertaking a PhD in law at the University of Nottingham, conducting research on the application of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLTs) and smart contracts in enhancing trust and data integrity in international trade public procurement.
Brian has published research and commentary on the regulation of digital assets, Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (‘DAOs’) and Decentralised Finance (‘DeFi’). Brian’s academic research concerns the application of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLTs) and smart contracts in enhancing trust and data integrity in public procurement. Brian’s co-authored work (Mondoh, Adami-Johnson, Green and Georgopoulos, 2022) has been listed on SSRN’s Top Ten download list in various research networks and has been featured on Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Computational Law Report Idea Forum on Composable Governance in the contexts of legal tech, business automation, and Web3.

Mrs. Tamar Nelson, JP presently serves as head and is the Chief Technical Director of the Jamaica Productivity Centre. She holds a MSc. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Rochester Institute in New York.
She also holds a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Sensei (CLSSS), a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) as well as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Professional Engineer (PE). With over 20 years experience working in both the public and private sector as a business process/improvement consultant, she has developed and delivered a number of improvement interventions which also include energy solutions and training programs in the area of productivity improvement based on LEAN/Six Sigma principles both locally and internationally to over 250 organisations. Her experience also includes Training and Facilitation, Logistics, Engineering and Project Management, Energy Conservation and Management, Business Process Analysis and Reengineering, Inventory Control, Strategic Planning and Warehouse Management to name a few.
Throughout her work life she has enjoyed influencing policy and the implementation of solutions regarding growth, sustainability and innovation.
